**Job Opportunity:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Palliative Care Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality clinical care to inpatients, outpatients, and community-based clients under consultant supervision.

As a Paediatric Palliative Care Specialist, you will be responsible for:

- Providing expert clinical care to children with life-limiting illnesses across the paediatric life span, from antenatal stages to adult transition.
- Consulting with children, families, hospital staff, and community services to deliver interdisciplinary assessments and management plans.
- Identifying patient and family goals of care and developing anticipatory, flexible, and goal-directed care plans.
- Promoting maximal quality of life for children and their carers across physical, functional, psychosocial, and emotional domains.
- Delivering care based on evidence-based best practices in collaboration with an expert interdisciplinary team.
- Supporting families and children with life-limiting illnesses, including those requiring palliative care services.

**Requirements:**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A medical degree (MB BS or equivalent) registrable by the Medical Board of South Australia.
- Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration
- Satisfactorily completed RACP Basic Paediatric Training and progressed to Advanced Trainee.
- High level of written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding both the rights and responsibilities of patients and their families.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements, responding appropriately to feedback and suggestions.
