Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our expanding multidisciplinary team in the North Perth region, who can make a meaningful impact in their local community.

This role requires someone with expertise, maturity, and strong time management and organisational skills to deliver timely therapeutic services and contribute to our mission.

The working environment is diverse, offering various settings such as childcare centres, schools, aged care facilities, day programs, communities, homes, and/or clinics. This role involves managing an allocated caseload and delivering evidence-based interventions to enhance participants' quality of life and meet their goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing an allocated caseload and delivering timely therapeutic services to improve the lives of NDIS participants.
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological, and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments.
  • Interpreting assessment findings to develop individualised treatment goals aligned with participant objectives.
  • Providing person-centred, evidence-based interventions to enhance participants' quality of life and meet their goals.
  • Mentoring and nurturing early career clinicians to achieve best practice.
  • Maintaining awareness of current legislation and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience delivering person-centred Occupational Therapy services, preferably in the disability sector.
  • Experience mentoring and supervising other Occupational Therapists to achieve best practice.
  • A genuine passion for working in the disability sector and contributing to the growth and development of individuals and communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues, participants, and stakeholders.
