Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Cliometrics and Quantitative Economic History

This is an exciting opportunity to join our research team as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Cliometrics and Quantitative Economic History. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual with expertise in quantitative economic history and cliometrics.

Job Description:

We are looking for a talented researcher to work on a project focused on quantitative economic history and cliometrics. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting independent and/or team research within the field of quantitative economic history and cliometrics, and developing their research expertise relevant to their field of research.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct independent and/or team research within the field of quantitative economic history and cliometrics.
  • Develop research expertise relevant to their field of research.
  • Collaborate with researchers and other stakeholders to advance the project's goals.
  • Communicate research findings through publications, presentations, and reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in a related discipline such as economics, history, or a related field.
  • Expertise in quantitative economic history and cliometrics.
  • Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
  • Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes of high quality and high impact.
  • High level communication skills and ability to network effectively and interact with a diverse range of students and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines, and build effective relationships.
  • Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
