Job Title: Theatre Nurse/Operating Theatre Manager

Location:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in theatre management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with medical specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate nursing services within operating theatre and recovery
  • Oversee theatre management, staff allocation, rotation, direction, and day-to-day functioning of theatre
  • Oversee Infection Control program and ensure reprocessing of instruments follows current codes of practice
  • Scrub for Surgeon and manage operating lists
  • Maintain medical supplies and stock
  • Provide communication link between Surgeon/Medical Director and nursing staff
  • Instigate training for new nursing staff
  • Maintain accreditation and involve staff in accreditation process

Requirements:

  • Full registration with AHPRA
  • Proven theatre and management experience
  • Experience working in Private Hospital sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with medical specialists
  • Knowledge and understanding of Accreditation/Quality Policies and Procedures
