Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Innovation Catalyst to join our team at the Department of State Growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving innovation and engagement within the Tasmanian forest sector, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver initiatives that drive real-world outcomes and create value for the community.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in journalism, marketing, or stakeholder engagement, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to provide advice on current communication and engagement matters, identify new tools and technologies to support innovation success, and develop and deliver workshops and learning resources to equip stakeholders with the necessary skills and knowledge.

About the Role

As an Innovation Catalyst, you will be responsible for:
1. Providing expert advice on communication and engagement strategies to support the Tasmanian forest sector.
2. Identifying and developing innovative solutions to drive business growth and sustainability within the sector.
3. Developing and delivering training programs to equip stakeholders with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the industry.
4. Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver initiatives that drive real-world outcomes and create value for the community.

What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A current driver's license.
2. Strong knowledge of forestry in Tasmania and/or relevant industry experience.
3. Qualifications and/or extensive experience in journalism, marketing, stakeholder engagement, or a related field.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 per annum
