Social Connection and Child Safety Practitioner

This role as a CCS Practitioner offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of families and children. If you are passionate about supporting families through relationship breakdown and promoting healthy relationships and social connections, we want to hear from you.
You will be working closely with children, parents, and carers to facilitate contact arrangements, provide support during changeovers or supervised visits, and help them navigate complex family law issues. You will also be part of a dynamic team that values diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning.
In this role, you will:
- Apply theoretical models of supportive human interaction, developmental stages of children, and conflict resolution
- Undertake assessment and intake processes, including parent interviews, case planning, and reviews
- Organise safe and appropriate activities for children to maximise parent/child interaction
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor degree in the social or behavioural sciences, preferably with a focus on child development
- Demonstrated experience working with children and families, particularly in crisis situations
- Theoretical knowledge of child development, abuse, and neglect, as well as relevant legislation and regulations
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Possession of, or willingness to obtain, a First Aid/CPR Certificate
