Culinary Roles in Aged Care Facilities

We are seeking skilled Cooks to join our team across multiple locations in Western Australia. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will support the Chef in preparing and delivering high-quality meals that meet residents' dietary needs and preferences.

This role involves manual handling and requires a commitment to hygiene, teamwork, and resident satisfaction. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless meal preparation and presentation.

To be successful in this position, you should have experience in food preparation and presentation, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. You will also need to adhere to strict food safety standards and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve meals hygienically, ensuring taste, presentation, and dietary standards are met.
  • Follow food safety procedures, including temperature control and allergen management.
  • Assist with stock deliveries, storage, and rotation using FIFO principles.
  • Monitor food quality and report issues to the Chef or Chef Manager.
Requirements:
  • Qualification (Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery) and/or experience working as a Cook in Aged Care would be advantageous but not necessary.
  • Understanding of special dietary needs.
  • Exceptional customer service mindset.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
