YOUR ROLE

The WMS Operations Analyst functions as a key expert in the operational processes of CEVA's Matrix CORE+ Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), driven by JDA/BlueYonder Dispatcher.

Recognized internally as a WMS Authority, this position is vital for enhancing our warehouse management capabilities and facilitating the deployment and optimization of WMS solutions throughout our operations.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the comprehensive WMS implementation process, which includes data gathering, documentation, system testing, staff training, and providing operational support during the launch phase.
  • Introduce new features across current WMS locations, with an emphasis on ongoing improvement and operational effectiveness.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the deployment and management of the WMS, ensuring adherence to best practices in system usage and management.
  • Serve as the primary contact for site-level WMS inquiries in your designated area, delivering prompt troubleshooting, continuous training, and support to boost system performance and user proficiency.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by pinpointing opportunities for system enhancements and collaborating on their execution to refine warehousing and transportation processes.
  • Guide and support team members, promoting their development and readiness for advancement within the WMS framework.
  • Leverage a thorough understanding of warehousing and transportation processes, material handling equipment, and productivity factors to implement necessary system enhancements or operational improvements.
  • Advocate for system modifications that align with strategic business objectives and drive substantial operational efficiencies.

WHAT ARE WE SEEKING?

The ideal candidate possesses demonstrated experience in warehouse management systems (JDA/BlueYonder experience is advantageous), ideally as a WMS authority, operations supervisor, or inventory manager in a distribution center setting.

Key qualifications include:

  • Practical experience with both internal and external warehouse management systems, including phases such as testing, documentation, and launch support.
  • Knowledge of warehousing and transportation processes, material handling equipment (MHE), and essential cost/productivity drivers.
  • Capability to swiftly identify, analyze, and resolve system-related challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and mentor staff.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and development to stay abreast of WMS advancements and industry best practices.
  • A proven ability to implement and drive change, enhancing operational efficiency and system capabilities.

Along with providing proof of work rights and suitable professional references, candidates who progress will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
