Field Service Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and completing repairs to engines at customer sites.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and has a strong technical background in engine repair.

  • You will engage with customers in a professional manner, anticipating and ensuring prompt attention to their needs.

  • Using specialized tools and documented procedures, you will diagnose and complete repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.

  • You will perform preventative maintenance activities as per schedules and standards on engine and related components in the field.

  • You will escalate unresolved issues to more experienced engineers and/or supervisors.

  • You will document all work completed, including service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via forms or business system input screens.

  • You will identify additional service opportunities with customers.

  • You will complete training as required by your role.

  • You will maintain service vehicles and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.

  • You will ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, reporting any issues/incidents to site management and their supervisor.

  • You will complete in-workshop repairs as required.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

Requirements

  • A qualification in Engine Repair (Cert III) or equivalent.

  • A basic level of workshop or field service experience.

  • A basic knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.

  • Heavy vehicle experience is preferred.

Additional Information

The position requires a full-time commitment of 38 hours per week, with an on-call roster of one week per month. Overtime may be required, with penalty rates paid for all work above 38 hours. All safety equipment/PPE and uniforms are provided and laundered.
