Senior Cloud Data Architect

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Data Architect to design, create and manage cloud databases and data pipelines that underpin a decoupled cloud architecture and API-first approach.

• Collaborate with engineers, developers and architects to design, develop, deploy and operate data services and solutions for a cloud ecosystem.\
• Own functional and non-functional design aspects and contribute to roadmaps and technical direction of data services on AWS environments.\
• Model data and ensure data quality, availability and reliability to support advanced analytics, machine learning and generative AI requirements.\
• Design and implement new data models with field mappings and transformation logic from source systems to domain models.\
• Implement reliable and efficient data pipelines using modern cloud services on AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, Redshift, Glue).\
• Experience with data-centric frameworks such as Spark; programming knowledge in Scala or Python; comfortable with Linux, shell scripting and automation frameworks.\
• Responsible for the overall strategy and execution of data architecture across the organization.\
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and best practices related to data architecture.\
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to data architecture.\
• Maintain and enhance existing data infrastructure and tools.\
• Ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.\
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product and operations to deliver high-quality software products.\
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members.\
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of high-quality code.\
• Develop and lead projects to improve data architecture and implementation.\
• Identify and prioritize business needs and opportunities for improvement.\
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and partners to advance the organization's goals.\
• Coordinate and collaborate with other teams to identify and address technical debt.\
• Develop and implement training programs for employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.\
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure data integrity and accuracy.\
• Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards to track key performance indicators.\
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to data architecture.\
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and best practices related to data architecture.\
• Participate in planning and decision-making processes to drive business growth.\
• Coordinate and collaborate with other teams to identify and address technical debt.\
• Provide strategic recommendations to leadership to drive business growth.\\
