Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate leader to join our team as a Lead Disability Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

As a Lead Disability Support Team, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of support workers and ensuring that clients receive high-quality care and support. You will work closely with our management team to develop and implement effective strategies for client care and team development.

You will assess individual client needs, strengths, and goals, and develop personalized support plans and risk assessments. You will also assist clients in developing life skills, such as budgeting, cooking, and personal hygiene, to promote independence.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma or Certificate IV in Disability or Individual Support
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role in the disability support field
  • Training in behaviour management and knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
