Legal Services Officer - Parole Board Queensland

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Parole Board Queensland as a Legal Services Officer. In this role, you will provide high-quality legal advice and support to the Board in relation to its statutory functions and powers.

The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a demanding environment. You will also have a deep understanding of legal principles and practices, particularly in relation to parole and correctional services.

As a Legal Services Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring that the Board receives timely and accurate legal advice, and that its decisions are well-informed and legally sound. You will also be responsible for preparing reports, correspondence, and briefing notes on legal issues, and for providing administrative support to the Board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality legal advice and support to the Board in relation to its statutory functions and powers.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and briefing notes on legal issues.
  • Provide administrative support to the Board.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of legal principles and practices, particularly in relation to parole and correctional services.
