About the Opportunity:

This is an ideal role for an ambitious senior lawyer who is ready to make their own mark in the construction and infrastructure industry.

Hwl Ebsworth's Sydney C&I Practice Group is uniquely placed within the legal market and is able to access all parts of the construction industry.

As a Senior Legal Counsel – Infrastructure and Construction, you will be part of a team that attracts instructions from tier-one contractors, Commonwealth, State and local government, listed developers and sovereign wealth funds.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice on construction and project disputes;
  • Managing litigation, arbitration and adjudications from start to finish;
  • Working on claims and disputes arising out of commercial, residential and retail tower developments, industrial and large-scale residential developments;
  • Major infrastructure projects including construction of rail infrastructure, airport developments, schools, road and other civil construction.

Requirements:

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • 5 + years post admission experience;
  • Excellent written skills;
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment;
  • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities; and
  • Strong leadership skills to assist in developing our junior cohort who are exceptionally talented, motivated and passionate.
