About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Advisor to join our team at Genesis Minerals Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing safety and operational training programs to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our processing plant.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in training and development, with experience in designing and delivering training programs for operational teams. You will be responsible for maintaining our Learning Management System, developing and maintaining training systems for all workers and visitors, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure accurate and up-to-date training records.
  • Develop and maintain training systems for all workers and visitors to ensure statutory compliance and the safe, efficient achievement of company objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and monitor that training systems reflect current work practices, procedures, and processes.
  • Continually monitor and manage training requirements of all workers to ensure skills requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with Department Managers and subject matter experts to maintain training needs analysis for all job roles and maintain an operations training matrix to ensure employees receive the appropriate training to fulfill their job responsibilities.
  • Coordinate the planning, approval, and scheduling of training to ensure employees acquire the required knowledge and skills to be deemed competent to perform tasks specific to their role.
  • Partner with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and deliver safety and operational training programs and packages specific to the needs of different departments and job roles.
  • Conduct safety and operational training assessments including verification of competency, written and observation and provide feedback to operators on competency performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance, completion, and certification to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and packages through task observations, assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms, and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
