About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team as the Coordinator of the Eating Disorders Program at The Melbourne Clinic. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating the inpatient and outpatient therapy programs for clients with eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the inpatient therapy program for up to 21 dedicated beds and the outpatient program, currently running one day per week
  • Organize group timetables and staff scheduling for the program
  • Conduct evidence-based therapy groups for clients in the program
  • Contribute to the general inpatient program with the TMC inpatient coordinators, Allied Health Manager, and Director of Allied Health
  • Develop, complete, and facilitate quality improvement projects in the eating disorders program
  • Supervise Grade 1 and 2 staff, as required, and supervise students of your discipline
Requirements
  • Qualification in an allied health profession, e.g., Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Psychology (mental health nurses with specialist skills in eating disorders will also be considered)
  • Registration with AHPRA for your profession, or eligibility for membership with AASW for Social Workers
  • Specialist training/credentialing in Eating Disorders (preferred)
  • Four years + experience as a health professional
  • Experience as a supervisor (preferred)
  • Well-developed leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with group therapy (preferred)
  • Commitment to upholding high standards of ethical practice
  • Current Working with Children Check
