Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Expert Network Specialist to join our team at Check Point Software Technologies.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position with a competitive estimated salary of $120,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, managing, and upgrading Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Virtual Private Networks (VPN), and Web Filtering Appliances.

The ideal candidate will have strong networking fundamentals, diagnostic skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. They must also be proactive, self-motivated, and able to learn new things quickly. Additionally, they should be able to work in a client-facing role, providing high-level remote troubleshooting and problem resolution on multiple network environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Configuring, managing, and upgrading NGFWs, IPS, UTM appliances, DLP, VPN, and Web Filtering Appliances
  • Providing support for integration and onboarding activities to ensure smooth client transition
  • Performing network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems using strong TCP/IP networking skills
  • Participating in the completion of required project deliverables for network and security assessments, implementations, and other scopes of work
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CCSE (Check Point Certified Security Expert)
  • 6+ years professional experience maintaining a Check Point Next-Gen Firewall environment
  • Check Point firewall deployment and configuration experience
  • Check Point firewall IPSEC VPN deployment and configuration experience
  • Customer service focus with strong interpersonal skills including excellent written/verbal communication skills
Desirable Qualifications:

A S. or B.A. Degree and experience with routing/wireless technologies, Cisco ASA/Palo Alto/Fortigate, Check Point Maestro, and Check Point VSX would be an advantage.
