
Childcare Program Coordinator

The Out-of-School Care Team Lead is responsible for fostering positive relationships with children, their families, and the day-to-day operations of the program.
This position plays a crucial role in program and curriculum planning that aligns with organizational values and the Early Learning Framework.
The team lead will work effectively with staff, families, and children, connecting with the community, mentoring students, recording documentation, maintaining current files, developing a strong collaborative team, and providing leadership that reflects the philosophy of quality childcare programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Supervision: Hold self and child care team accountable for providing excellent care, adhering to schedules, and having flexibility to change shifts.
- Program Delivery and Operations: Ensure health and wellbeing of children, promote social-emotional wellbeing, establish clear rules and guidelines, and provide positive reinforcement.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain children's files, communicate with parents/guardians, and inventory supplies and materials.
Working Conditions and Requirements:
- Shared spaces require physical exertion and ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods, run occasionally, crouch and bend frequently.
- Minimum 1-year experience working directly with children aged 5-11, leadership experiences are an asset.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
- Leadership and management experience, preferably in early childhood education or a related field.
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices.
