Job Title: Senior Control Systems Engineer

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced control systems engineer to join our team in Brisbane. As a senior control systems engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, integration, and delivery of control and automation systems specifically for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

This role offers a balanced mix of technical delivery and project/design management, ideal for someone ready to step into a leadership role while remaining hands-on in water utilities projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, integrate, and deliver control systems for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Proven expertise in specification, concept and detailed design, testing, and commissioning of control systems for water infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of DCS, PLC, SIS, SCADA systems, instrumentation, and actuators used in water and wastewater environments.
  • Experience managing medium-complexity projects and leading teams, including mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Control Systems, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is essential; RPEQ registration highly desirable.
  • 5–15 years of experience delivering control systems specifically within water utilities, water treatment, or wastewater management sectors.
