Full-time Structural Steel Trades Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Structural Steel Trades Worker to join our team at Ellis Post Tension Pty Ltd, a leading provider of engineering solutions in Seven Hills, NSW 2147.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and plans for steel structures.
  • Fabricate, cut, shape, and weld steel components as required by project specifications.
  • Install and assemble steel structures, beams, columns, and frames.
  • Collaborate with other trades and construction teams to ensure proper integration of steel elements in post-tension slabs.
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards.
  • Use various tools and equipment such as welding machines, grinders, and lifting devices.
  • Perform regular maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a clean and secure working environment.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience as a Structural Steel Trades Worker, with specific experience in post-tension slab construction being highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans.
  • Strong welding, cutting and fabrication skills.
  • Familiarity with structural steel installation, including columns, beams, and related components.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations in construction.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in all tasks.
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to work in demanding environments.
Remuneration:

The role offers a competitive remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
