A global law firm is seeking a seasoned professional to join their indirect tax team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in indirect tax and the ability to provide expert advice on various industries, transactions, and client bases.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-level indirect tax advice and day-to-day client service.
- Contribute to strategic insights on tax risk and governance frameworks.
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in indirect tax gained within a top-tier law firm or Big 4 professional services firm.
- Law degree and completion of the College of Law or equivalent.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of stamp duty and land tax regimes across Australia and/or GST legislation.
- Good delegation skills and the ability to efficiently manage multiple matters at one time.
