About the Role

The Design Operations Principal role has been designed to take a lead role in Design Operations with a focus on Research Ops & Service Design, frameworks, processes and measures that enable NAB's design team to be highly engaged, efficient, and supported so they can create consistent, quality designs to drive organisational success.

Key Deliverables
  1. Mature research operations across the design team and the broader NAB ecosystem;
  2. Improve the maturity of service design methods and processes across our design team;
  3. Establish and embed a consistent Experience Design framework for NAB to improve quality and impact of design outputs, with a focus on Service Design;
  4. Set the roadmap and approach to uplift Design maturity, developing capability programs and community of practice, focusing on Service Design and Research;
  5. Input into design strategies, planning, and execution;
  6. Recommend and deliver tools and frameworks required for Design;
  7. Drive Design team cadences to enhance efficiencies, collaboration, and outcomes.

  • Mature level of analytical capability;
  • Strong level of communication and relationship management;
  • Confidence in prioritization of multiple requirements;
  • Ability to lead on and deliver strong risk and control outcomes;
  • Demonstrated efficiency and resilience;
  • Understanding of the financial services sector;
  • Relentless focus on increasing design maturity to maximize ROI on design.
