The Job

We are seeking a dedicated site worker to join our team in Mitchell ACT. This is a full-time permanent role with early starts (7:30am), plenty of overtime available, and a consistent roster.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing incoming loads for collection and disposal.
  • Informing and directing the public about appropriate areas to dispose of their waste.
  • Assisting in manually sorting waste and items dumped in incorrect areas.
  • Conducting regular litter picking and machinery cleaning.
  • Learning to identify higher value non-ferrous items for recovery.
  • Operating a forklift as required.
  • Performing additional yard duties as needed.

Previous experience in a similar site working role is an advantage. Valid driver's license, Construction White Card, Asbestos Awareness, and Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention certificates, and a Forklift license are desirable.
