Job Title: Educator

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced educator to join our school community in Cairns.

The role of the educator is to support the mission of the school through the enactment of the learning and teaching program. This involves:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering effective learning and teaching programs;
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the school objectives and planning;
  • Ensuring that appropriate teachings are implemented in the classroom;
  • Contributing to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment utilising thorough analysis of current data to inform decisions;
  • Practically administering available resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs;
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school objectives and school planning;
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Be registered or eligible to be registered with Queensland College of Teachers;
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents and staff;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Strong organisational and time management skills;
  • Capacity to analyse and evaluate student progress and achievement;
  • Capacity to plan and implement curriculum programs;
  • Capacity to provide professional development and mentorship to colleagues.
