Job Title: Community Sports Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Community Sports Coordinator.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating sports facilities, building relationships with community groups, and providing exceptional service to the community.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary communication link between the Council and local sporting clubs, associations, and recreational groups.
  • Coordinate the ongoing management and maintenance of the IMS booking system for the Recreation and Open Space Department.
  • Manage and administer seasonal allocation licenses and casual bookings of community sporting clubs, associations, schools, commercial groups, and other community groups.

About You:

We seek someone passionate about enhancing the sporting landscape and supporting the recreational needs of our community. A proven record of accomplishment in sports facility management and maintenance activities is required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification within the Sport and Recreation industry or substantial experience in sports club administration or community-based organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in liaising and working with a variety of community sport and recreation groups.
  • Broad knowledge and extensive experience in managing all aspects of the public realm of sports grounds, turf, and facilities management and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and prioritizing multiple tasks.
