About the Role

The successful applicant will have a strong foundation in medical principles and practices, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Key responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing and implementing comprehensive care plans, reporting and paperwork as relevant to the role, and maintaining compliance with all relevant policies and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and detailed patient histories are recorded
  • Document findings in medical records and communicate with Visiting Medical Officers as required
  • Investigate and manage patient cases, prescribing medication and treatment as necessary
  • Review each patient case as requested by Visiting Medical Officers or nursing staff, including documentation for transfer to other facilities where appropriate
  • Participate in unit meetings and contribute to the development of workplace policies and procedures
