Brass Tutor Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to provide brass instrument tuition to primary school aged students.

The Just Brass music program is designed for students who may have few opportunities to learn music, with the ultimate aim of seeing them further their musical skills and knowledge.

Key responsibilities include coaching and supporting small groups of students, attending rehearsals and performances, and ensuring safety and wellbeing of self and others.

Desirable qualifications and skills include competently playing brass instruments, experience and/or keen interest in coaching and tutoring young people, and various personal attributes such as empathy, honesty, integrity, respect, and communication skills.

A background check will be required, including a Working with Children Check/Working with Vulnerable People Check.

To successfully undertake this role, volunteers will need to complete extended child-safe training, category B training, and work health and safety considerations.

This opportunity is part of our mission to provide music education to those who may not otherwise have access to it.
