Job Title: Groundsperson - Racecourse

Job Description

You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing team that prioritizes your well-being.

The primary responsibility is to provide grounds maintenance services to a high standard and meet customer expectations. This includes carrying out instructions from senior staff, performing sports turf maintenance tasks such as mowing, irrigation, treading, and track repairs using various types of equipment, mixing, decanting, and spraying chemicals including pesticides, herbicides, and fuel, operating a range of horticultural equipment, undertaking daily pre-start checks as required, and working on assigned racing event days with adjusted start and finish times.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in the grounds maintenance industry or relevant fields such as racecourse, turf management, or landscape;
  • Physical fitness and ability to work unsupervised;
  • Chemical User Licence (ACUP) and Manual Drivers licence are preferred but not essential;
  • Qualifications in Horticulture (Certificate III in Parks and Gardens), Turf Management, or Landscape are an advantage;
