Your Opportunity
We are seeking a creative and dedicated Secondary Design Teacher to join our team in 2025. This part-time position will commence on January 20th, and we are looking for an individual who is passionate about design education and committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our students.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing engaging design lessons that align with the Australian Curriculum;
- Providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and development;
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum programs;
- Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and productive learning environment;
- Staying up-to-date with best practices in design education and incorporating new ideas and approaches into their teaching practice.
Selection Criteria
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold relevant teaching qualifications and experience;
- Hold (or have the ability to acquire) Queensland College of Teachers Registration;
- Be able to sign and abide by the College's Statement of Faith;
- Be able to abide by the Staff Code of Conduct at all times;
- Be able to work with all members of the College community;
- Be fully aligned with the values, virtues, and Christian beliefs of St George Christian School;
- Be legally permitted to work in Australia.
