**Role Overview**
We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our decision-making team as a Sessional Ombudsman. This role is designed for senior legally qualified professionals with a strong track record of significant achievement and a background in the superannuation sector.
The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of superannuation law, regulatory guidance, and industry practice. They will be able to quickly get to the heart of complex issues and efficiently handle a busy caseload, with a clear focus on outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to good outcomes and drive improvements in the sector.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Making decisions about complaints, individually or as part of a panel, in accordance with the law, relevant trust deeds, and insurance policy terms
- Reporting to Lead Ombudsman, Superannuation, Heather Gray
**Requirements**
- Legal qualifications and a significant track record of achievement at senior executive level within the superannuation industry or a tribunal, EDR scheme, regulatory agency, or related business entity
- Solid analytical skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
