Surgical Department Cleaner Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced cleaner to join our surgical team in a key support role.
- To be successful in this position, you must have a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the operating theatre environment.
The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative team, contributing to the smooth operation of the theatre. You will be required to maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring that all equipment and surfaces are cleaned and prepared for procedures.
Austin Health is a major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Our organisation is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in various fields, including cancer, liver transplantation and neurology.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Apart from the above requirements, the ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a similar cleaning role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of infection control principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
