The Role:

  1. Manage cost control for social housing reactive repairs projects, ensuring financial performance meets expectations.
  2. Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate forecasting, valuations, and variations.
  3. Lead the preparation and negotiation of contracts, ensuring compliance with company and client requirements.
  4. Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive prices, manage risk, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  5. Provide commercial advice and cost reporting to senior management.
  6. Foster strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Your Skills and Experience:

  1. Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the social housing or property services sector.
  2. In-depth knowledge of the NHF Schedule of Rates, with the ability to apply this knowledge in reactive maintenance and repairs contracts.
  3. Proven track record in reactive repairs and maintenance contracts.
  4. Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage costs effectively.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  6. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
  7. A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline, with professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB) desirable.
