About the Centre:

Early Learning Placements is seeking an experienced and professional Preschool Room Leader to join their highly motivated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan, and implement a quality childcare and education program in consultation with the team and in line with the EYLF.
  • Responsible for the guidance and support of less experienced staff within the team.
  • Communicate positively and openly with children on an ongoing basis.
  • Create a stimulating, positive, and appropriate environment to foster and support development.
  • Conduct observations and evaluations of children's development.
  • Provide physical and emotional care, assisting children in daily routines and meal times.
  • Maintain up-to-date records for each child within the group.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day running of the room, programming, and various projects.
  • Ensure the team works within the framework of the National Quality Standards and the EYLF.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Working Towards or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualifications recognised by ACECQA.
  • A current First Aid Certificate.
  • An understanding and interest of all the developmental areas for children.
  • Previous experience within a childcare environment (highly regarded).
  • An exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • An excellent presentation skills.
  • The ability to build good rapport within the team and with children and their families.
  • A flexible, motivated, and reliable attitude.
