Superintendent - Protective Security

This is a leadership role that requires expertise in intelligence and risk management. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance on complex issues affecting courts, while also maintaining strong relationships with law enforcement agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective security operations.
  • Provide expert advice on protective security measures across various court locations.
  • Lead security teams during high-profile events or incidents.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Investigate critical security incidents and develop recommendations for mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and review comprehensive security policies and procedures.
  • Deliver training and presentations to court staff on security best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies and risk management techniques.
Requirements
  • Completion of the Sheriff's Officer Recruit Training Program.
  • Ability to travel to various court locations throughout NSW.
  • Willingness to obtain a Diploma in Government Security or equivalent within 6 months.
  • Certificate III in Government to be completed within 12 months.
  • Successful completion of tactical re-certification programs as required.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence with a provisional P2 licence upon entry.
  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • Meet the required health, physical, and psychological standards.
