This is a fixed-term, full-time opportunity to play a critical part in the procurement planning and management of the Opal Next Generation project. As a Procurement Strategist, you will lead and manage a talented team of procurement staff, developing their capabilities and performance to deliver procurement activities within identified procurement policies, processes, and procedures.



You will work in a matrix environment undertaking business needs assessment, supply market analysis, and commercial risk assessments. Your recommendations will inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions, delivering value for money procurement solutions for the project.



The role requires strong experience in IT-related procurement planning, negotiation, governance, and reporting in large, complex, matrix-structured organizations. You will be part of delivering a once-in-a-lifetime project that will impact 2 million passenger journeys a day.
