">Role Summary
A highly skilled healthcare professional with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively within the medical and oncology ward. This comprehensive role requires recent acute inpatient experience and demonstrated commitment to quality patient care.
The Position
Provides clinical assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of patient care with support from senior staff when needed.
Promotes effective communication and teamwork among departmental staff and hospital teams.
Delivers patient education as appropriate and acts as a resource for patients.
Supports and supervises nursing staff, including orientating and precepting new nurses.
Contributes to operational objectives of the hospital and clinical services.
This permanent full-time position includes flexibility for part-time work, multiple candidates may be hired to fill the position. Availability is required for all shifts across 7 days.
Requirements
Registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
Recent acute inpatient experience, with demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction.
Well-developed interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.
Oncology experience, including cytotoxic medication administration, is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake regular audits and risk assessments to maintain high standards of care.
Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to address these.
Maintain accurate records and reports of patient care and treatment outcomes.
