Clinical Nurse Specialist Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a clinical nurse specialist in the Northern Territory, providing high-quality holistic care to individuals with mental health issues.
The successful applicant will be responsible for applying their extensive knowledge and skills in mental health case management to ensure effective treatment and support for consumers. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to achieve best practice outcomes and promote a learning environment through clinical support and instruction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing sound professional advice and assessment, planning, review, evaluation, and coordination of comprehensive client care and/or case management within the specialty area.
- Working collaboratively with the team to develop and implement local and regional policies, including interpreting established professional precedents and organizational policies.
- Demonstrating well-developed knowledge and understanding of social and cultural issues that influence healthcare provision.
Eligibility to practice as a Designated Mental Health Practitioner under the NT Mental Health and Related Services Act (1998) is required. A graduate certificate beyond entry-to-practice in a relevant specialty area is also desirable.
