Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Bowral House, a luxury residential aged care facility located in the beautiful Southern Highlands. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-level clinical care to our residents, ensuring their individual care needs are met and their quality of life is enhanced.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision to AINs (Assistant in Nursing) to ensure high-quality care is delivered to residents.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, medical practitioners, allied health professionals, and relatives to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Ensure that resident care and treatments are documented to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote resident independence and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care is provided to residents.

Requirements

  • Endorsed by APHRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
  • Aged care experience beneficial.
  • Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in Australia.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing.
  • Strong knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Ability to problem-solve, negotiate, mediate, and resolve conflict.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strive for excellence in customer service and promote an environment of harmony and trust.
  • Demonstrated high-level organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written documentation and assessment skills.
