About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Digital Engineering to join our team at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Canberra. As a key member of our Capability Systems Centre, you will play a crucial role in driving effective partnerships and leading industry-focused projects that create value for stakeholders and the University.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate and lead industry-focused projects that create value for stakeholders and the University.
  • Bring a strong record of multi-disciplinary collaborations, expertise in working across boundaries, and proven skills in leading and working in diverse teams.
  • Develop and deliver industry-focused education offerings and knowledge transfer activities, such as short courses, micro-credentials, and facilitated workshops.
  • Translate research to practical outcomes and supervise high-quality PhD/Masters research students or other research-based projects.
  • Contribute to growing the field of Digital Engineering through expertise in advanced systems engineering topics and application areas.

Requirements

  • PhD in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proven expertise in the design, planning, and delivery of industry-focused education offerings and knowledge transfer activities.
  • Strong record of multi-disciplinary collaborations, expertise in working across boundaries, and proven skills in leading and working in diverse teams.
  • Significant expertise in advanced systems engineering topics and application areas that will contribute to growing the field of Digital Engineering.

Eligibility

The successful candidate will be required to undertake pre-employment checks prior to commencement in this role. The checks that will be undertaken are listed in the Position Description. You will not be required to provide any further documentation or information regarding the checks until directly requested by UNSW. The successful candidate will be required to work from the UNSW Canberra campus. To be successful, you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. UNSW is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
