The organisation delivers centralised advocacy and resource support for its six independent member services, as well as direct clinical services in six remote Aboriginal communities across the region.
">About the Role
">We are seeking a highly skilled Remote Area Nurse to join our team at KAMS. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, advance your career, and enhance your cultural knowledge in stunning outback locations. As a Remote Area Nurse, you will work on a full-time basis with a 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off roster, providing coordinated and comprehensive Primary Health and emergency care to clients and their community.
">Your Key Responsibilities

- Deliver professional, evidence-based primary healthcare to individuals, families and communities;">
- Develop and implement health promotion and education activities, coordinating assigned health programs;">
- Take a holistic approach to assessing clients, supporting patients to understand their condition, treatment and prevention strategies;">
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary health care team to streamline an integrated patient journey across all providers;">
- Participate in an on-call roster to provide a 24/7 emergency care service.">
What We Are Looking For
">To be successful, you will be currently registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and have demonstrated post-graduate experience in the delivery of comprehensive primary health care, including emergency care. You'll have a solid understanding of cultural safety and a commitment to the principles of Aboriginal community controlled health services.
