About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Care Officer to join our team at Cocoon SDA Care. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with high physical and challenging behaviors in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to participants with high physical and challenging behaviors, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Deliver personal care services to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained at all times.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of participant progress, reports, and correspondence, adhering to required standards.
  • Execute designated tasks and activities aimed at meeting participant needs, community support, empowerment, team objectives, and program goals.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, contributing to a collaborative and respectful work environment.
  • Adhere to service communication, reporting, and participant progress practices and procedures.
  • Respond to crisis situations in accordance with specified guidelines and seek assistance when necessary.
  • Develop and monitor individual program plans, ensuring accountability for participant outcomes.
  • Establish strong working relationships with team members, providing support and collaboration to achieve role responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Relevant Diploma or higher qualification in health and wellbeing.
  • At least two (2) years of full-time work experience in a similar role.
  • Proactive and passionate about supporting people with disabilities.
  • Flexible and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communicator and team player.
