At our early learning centre, we believe early childhood education is one of the most meaningful and impactful professions there is. We're seeking a passionate and experienced leader to join our team in a role purposefully designed to meet the evolving needs of our service. This is a position that involves operational leadership with pedagogical influence, blending day-to-day operations with educational practice.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely.
- Guide and support educators to deliver high-quality programs aligned with the EYLF and NQS.
- Foster a strong, values-driven culture where reflective practice, curiosity, and continuous improvement are part of everyday life.
- Oversee compliance, health and safety, and ensure environments are safe, engaging, and child-led.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with families and the broader community.
- Be a mentor and role model for our team and bring out the best in every educator.
- A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Current Blue Card, First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training.
- Valid driver's license.
- At least two years' leadership experience.
- Strong working knowledge of the NQF, EYLF, and child development theory.
- Confidence in leading teams, supporting compliance, and driving improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in leading curriculum development, mentoring educators, and supporting the planning and assessment cycle.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality programs that meet the learning outcomes of approved frameworks.
- Experience in a coaching/mentoring role with educators across multiple age groups.
- Experience using platforms like Storypark or other digital documentation tools.
- Previous experience managing budgets or overseeing funding allocations.
- Knowledge of CCS systems and administrative operations within a long day care context.
