Housekeeping Assistant

VMCH is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation providing services across Victoria, including residential aged care, community and disability services, and specialist education. We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at our Pakenham site.

This is a casual dayshift position available Monday to Friday between 8am and 2pm and on weekends between 8am and 12pm. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining hygiene standards in a home-like environment, carrying out domestic tasks, cleaning residents' rooms, and ensuring common areas are clean and tidy.

• Maintain cleanliness of residents' rooms, including ensuites, furniture, and equipment
• Clean communal and administrative areas
• Ensure safe storage, security, and labelling of cleaning materials
• Report stock shortages, breakages, or defects promptly to the Residential Services Manager

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, employees, and volunteers
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work without supervision
• Well-developed prioritisation and organisational skills
• Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and operate with discretion
