We are seeking highly capable and dedicated individuals to contribute to our mission in national security policy, governance or communications.

Job Description:

We protect Australia and Australians from threats to their security. In a complex security environment, our success is built on the imagination and intelligence of our team. Our people are ordinary Australians who do extraordinary things – they are our most important asset.

To achieve our mission, we need talented people who are adaptable and resilient. You will contribute by providing advice to government, supporting partnerships, engaging across the National Intelligence Community, representing requirements to government, writing public communications, and enabling us to achieve our security intelligence effects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree completed before intake commences or graduates from the past 3 years
  • Fields of study: strategic policy, governance, communications, national and international security, and international relations

Benefits:

Over the 12-month program, we will guide and mentor you, enabling you to develop your skills and knowledge. You will gain unique experience across our organisation and broaden your understanding of how national security fits within whole-of-government processes.

Placement Opportunities:

You will undertake 3 placements across different business areas, working alongside colleagues throughout the organisation.

Career Advancement:

On successful completion, you will be promoted to the AE5 level (APS5 equivalent).
