Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Mechanic to join our workshop department on a full-time basis. This role involves all general repairs, maintenance, component change-outs on all Caterpillar fleet, including new machine build-ups and rebuilds.

Our company provides adaptable Caterpillar solutions from Mandurah to Albany. Our technicians handle diverse machinery, offering services, rebuilds, deliveries, and overhauls.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Performing scheduled and daily maintenance servicing and inspections of mobile mining earthmoving and ancillary plant equipment.
  • Maintaining accurate lubricant records and machine hours of each equipment.
  • Providing support to our Tradespersons through the maintenance process safely and efficiently.
  • Reporting faults/defects and completing service reports using CAT Inspect.
  • Forklift operations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A current Australian Drivers Licence – C class or above.
  • An Australian recognised Heavy Mobile Plant trade certificate with post-trade experience.
  • A High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (FL), Dogging (DG), Rigging (RG), Working at Heights (WAH), Confined Spaces (CSE).
  • Strong computer literacy with verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in maintenance servicing of heavy equipment (mobile plant / ancillary).
  • Excellent customer service and safety-focused.
