Kirinari Community Services Limited seeks a skilled and compassionate professional to join our team as a Youth Support Worker.

The successful candidate will work with children and young people who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect and may have a mental health, physical, or psychosocial disability.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct person-centred support and care to young people residing in Kirinari OOHC homes.
  • Develop individualised plans to support young people's needs and goals.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming home environment and promote positive relationships with young people.
  • Transport young people to appointments, assist with household duties, and connect them to family and culture.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to deliver multi-disciplinary care.

Requirements

  • Commitment to child safety and well-being.
  • Understanding of strength-based trauma-informed practice or willingness to learn.
  • Qualifications in Community Services, Residential Care, or related areas (Cert IV) or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in residential therapeutic care and complex trauma or willingness to learn.
  • Flexible roster availability, including weekends, evenings, and sleepovers.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check prior to commencement and valid driver's license.
