This role is critical to ensuring all special events are properly identified, assessed, and managed for service alterations. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver safe and efficient plans for events, major occupations, and associated impacts on scheduled coach operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and submit plans for all special events in line with departmental requirements.
- Create service plans based on data, business needs, and SLAs.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to review and ensure the safe delivery of plans.
- Identify overlapping events and occupations that may impact operations and liaise with senior management for resolutions.
- Participate in meetings regarding special events and ensure our requirements are represented.
- Manage readiness activities and develop detailed plans for major events.
- Maintain dashboards tracking events, occupations, and resource needs, escalating risks as needed.
- Lead preparation activities for occupations, including logistical support.
- Report on readiness status to senior leadership.
- Conduct debriefs and lessons learned sessions post-events.
- Review and improve planning and reporting practices to optimize operations and costs.
- Ensure impacts on coach operations are managed, including road closures and route changes.
- Coordinate with Coach Services to adhere to contractual obligations.
- Oversee group bookings and handle complex requests.
