Job Description

In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities. As a dedicated Disability Support Worker, your primary focus will be on empowering them to achieve their goals and maintain their independence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored personal care and daily living support that caters to individual needs and preferences.
  • Assisting with tasks such as meal preparation, light domestic work, and transportation, while ensuring clients' safety and comfort.
  • Encouraging social participation, community engagement, and inclusion by facilitating access to local events and activities.
  • Supporting choice and independence in all aspects of care, respecting clients' autonomy and dignity.
  • Maintaining accurate records in accordance with organisational requirements, ensuring compliance and transparency.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need to possess a genuine commitment to supporting people with disabilities, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A Certificate III or IV in Disability Services (or equivalent) or at least three years' relevant experience is also highly desirable.

  • A minimum of Certificate III or IV in Disability Services (or equivalent)
  • At least three years' relevant experience working with people with disabilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
