Job Summary

The APS3 Business Operations Specialist contributes to the development, planning, and production of business outputs and outcomes. This role is primarily engaged in administrative, exhibits management, stocktakes, data interrogation, basic research, and less complex analysis work involving the collection of information across the intelligence, business, and operational aspects of the ACIC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of business strategies and plans.
  • Contribute to the production of business outputs and outcomes, including reports, presentations, and other materials.
  • Collaborate with operational teams, taskforces, investigators, intelligence practitioners, administrative staff, and external partner agencies to ensure office operational outputs support the ACIC.
  • Provide administrative support, including data management, record keeping, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve business operations.

Requirements

  • Sound organisational skills to prioritise tasks and produce timely outcomes.
  • Experience in business and/or customer service, including problem-solving.
  • Ability to source and manage information, provide advice to stakeholders, and maintain effective record keeping.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal and team skills.
  • Demonstrated competency in a range of information and communication technology (ICT) systems, including the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexibly across a number of functional portfolios.

Eligibility

  • Citizenship: To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
  • Security Clearance: The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
  • Pre-Employment Screening: All candidates must satisfy an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to being offered employment at the ACIC.
