Job Title: Sports Teacher 0.4FTE

We are seeking a passionate and experienced PE Teacher to join our team at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in Mona Vale. This is a 12-month temporary, part-time 0.4 FTE opportunity to commence in Term 1, 2025.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Physical Education to students at the primary level. They will also be expected to contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle and be committed to student achievement.

Requirements
  • Highly effective, skilled classroom practitioner committed to the ethos of the Catholic School
  • Capacity to contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle and be committed to student achievement
  • Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment
  • Skilled in analysing and reflecting on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students
  • Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments
  • Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community
  • Proficient in the knowledge of the Physical Education aspect of the NSW Curriculum to inform teaching and learning programs
  • Able to teach sport at a Primary level
