Job Title: Carpenter and Joiner

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter and Joiner to join our team in regional South Australia. As a leader in the construction industry, our client prides themselves on providing high-quality products and services to their customers.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, renovating, and repairing various structures and fixtures. This includes studying drawings and specifications, ordering and selecting materials, and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Construct and erect framework and roof framing, lay sub-flooring and floorboards, and verify trueness of structures
  • Nail fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
  • Assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install
  • Cut wood joints and may construct concrete formwork
  • May repair existing fittings and work with plastic laminates, perspex, and metals
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of work experience as a Tradesperson / Carpenter / Joiner
  • AQF Certificate III in Carpentry or higher qualification or equivalent, or 3 years of relevant work experience to substitute for the qualification
  • English: IELTS score of 5.0 overall (or equivalent), and minimum of IELTS score 4.0 (or equivalent) for individual bands
